Should You File for Bankruptcy Now?

Filing for bankruptcy is about to become more difficult and more expensive. The bankruptcy reform bill now pending before Congress will prevent many people from filing for Chapter 7, the bankruptcy law that erases most debts. The same bill will make it substantially more difficult to file for Chapter 13, the bankruptcy law that allows for retention of property and a monthly repayment of debts. The result of the new law will be that many consumers may be denied bankruptcy relief altogether, that bankruptcy will become more complex, and that bankruptcy will become much more expensive. The law becomes effective 6 months from the day it is signed by President Bush. If you want to file under the current law, then contact:
